Hi, my name is Connie. My husband Andy (Andreas) Lainas is currently fighting for his life. In 2020 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which metastasized to the bones. The doctors at the time recommended chemotherapy treatments which commenced with chemo pills. Various types of chemo pills were tried from 2020-2022 and when that failed by November 2022 Andy was advised to start chemotherapy injections at the hospital. During his treatments, the cancer was somehow stabilized to the bones. Although Andy suffered immense pain he tolerated it as best as he could with painkillers and continued treatment to lower his PSA levels and hopefully suppress the cancer from any further damage. By 2023 his health was further deteriorating. Andy was hospitalized on April 17 2023 and unfortunately, the results were devastating. The Cancer has metastasized to the liver. The doctors have advised that there may be a few treatments available that we can try to prolong his life. There are also alternative treatments and Naturopathic remedies that can assist in improving his quality of life and minimizing the pain. However, none of these costly treatments are covered. Andy's life is all about his 2 sons. Andy wants to see his youngest son graduate and his oldest get engaged.
