Help Andrew's Family with Heart Surgery Costs
Donation protected
Andrew is having open-heart surgery for the second time. Having a CHD of Ebstein's Anomaly means his tricuspid valve is not working properly. This prevents Andrew from getting all of his oxygen, he tires easily, and his heart is now enlarged due to his one chamber working harder than the other. The goal is to repair Andrew's valve so he can get all his oxygen, his heart can go back to normal size, and he can become a normal kid again. The valve will be repaired, and if the surgeon feels that's not going to give the desired outcome, he will replace the valve during the same surgery. Ebstein's is very rare-so rare that very few surgeons even perform the procedure. Luckily we have a great surgeon in our backyard at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. Please keep Andrew in your thoughts and prayers. We can't wait to see him back to being a kid again, going to school, playing baseball, graduating from high school, and just being Andrew. He is a senior this year and looks forward to going to college in the fall with this behind him. He is a very determined kiddo. Thank you all for your help, whether it be through the Go- Fund Me Account, prayers or good thoughts. We will provide an update on Andrew once he is home. Thank you all.
