In Loving Memory of Andrew L. Acevedo-Alvarez

With unimaginable heartbreak, we share that little angel Andrew Acevedo-Alvarez, only five years old, passed away yesterday due to complications following open-heart surgery. Andrew was a bright, loving little boy whose smile brought warmth to everyone around him. His life was far too short, and his family is shattered by this sudden and devastating loss.

Andrew’s parents are now facing the unbearable task of planning a funeral for their baby boy—something no family should ever have to endure. The unexpected costs of funeral services, on top of everything else, are overwhelming for the family.

As the holiday season approaches, a time that is often filled with joy, this loss weighs even heavier on the hearts of all who loved him. Andrew’s little brother and big sister are especially heartbroken, trying to understand why their playmate, their friend, their brother is no longer with them. What should have been a season of celebration will now be a season of grief for his family.
