Help Andrew Walk Again: Support His Recovery
Donation protected
Our grandson Andrew was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves. Two weeks ago, he woke up paralyzed from the hips down and was admitted to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. He has undergone numerous MRIs, CT scans, a spinal tap, countless blood tests, and immunoglobulin infusions. As of today, he is being transferred to Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Institute in Richmond, VA for an undetermined amount of time. He will undergo intensive therapy with hopes of regaining his strength and ability to walk again. We are encouraged by his progress so far, but it still may be several weeks or months before Andrew is functioning on his own. His parents have insurance, but it's the astronomical cost of copays that are quickly adding up and has led me to request your help in supporting Andrew and his family in this special time of need. We thank everyone for their love and prayers and any assistance would be most welcomed.
Sincerely,
