Please help cancer patient Andrew save his home and animals.

Hello, Everyone:

My name is Andrew Davis.

I’m a Lighting Director in the Entertainment Industry in Nashville, Tennessee, a graduate of The North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Theatrical Lighting Design, a fiction writer, a disabled Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a black belt in martial arts, and a Stage IV, prostate cancer patient in hospice care here in Music City. However, by the Grace and love of God, so far, I have out-lived my “six-months to live” diective.

At the risk of shocking some of you, I decided to share some recent photographs of myself here and there that point to the condition I’m in. I weighed about 98 pounds in all these photos in December, 2024.

I have exhausted my savings and on the verge of maxing-out my two credit cards, and I live on a fixed income from Social Security and my Veteran’s disability benefits. I have Willed my house and all my possessions to my beneficiary, fellow traveler, Spiritual adviser, and caretaker, as she provides all her services and oversees the property at no cost.

If I were to pass at present, and without my income that will pass with me when I go, my caretaker could not make the house payments. My goal is to provide a six-month financial buffer that would pay off the credit cards and hold her over until she can return to the job market, or, re-finance the house and get a smaller payment that she can afford. Otherwise, she may very well lose the house, without the means to either rent or purchase another one so she can keep our six, beautiful “rescue” animals---our “family,” on at this location.

Hence, my goal: Provide a $24,000 six-month buffer for my caretaker that will pay off the credit cards and hold her over while she looks for work, or, pay down the mortgage principle and refinance, so she can avoid the unthinkable:

Alas, I come to the crossroads of desire, dreams, hopes, and reality, and I’m not expected to live much longer. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July, 2006. Based on the advice and experience of a friend with the disease, I passed on traditional cancer treatment and started treating myself with a product called Cesium Chloride that worked. I did the Cesium Chloride treatments every year for sixteen years. During that time I had three negative biopsies that is, no sign of cancer. About two years ago, I quit treating myself with Cesium, and about a year ago I got sick. It has now metastasized into my bones, and I’m seriously ill. Last month I weighed about 98 pounds, and as of June, 2024, the medical industry told me I had about six months to live. However, being a Child of God, I don’t place much value in that.

But time does appear to be slipping away from me. They said I may live longer, and I’m actually doing better than expected, but six months was the initial projection. Faced with that deadline, I would like to see this serious problem solved before I leave the planet. I do not want to pass on and leave my caretaker in this dire situation with our animals, as it appears I may have to do, unless I get the financial assistance this much-needed buffer will provide.

I’m long retired from the business, I live on a fixed income today of $1,900.00 a month in Social Security and VA disability benefits, and I may not live to see this dream happen. However, I am a firm believer in the Divine power and Grace of an all-powerful and loving God or Higher Power or Spirit of whatever you choose to call it. I’m not a Christian, and I have my own ideas with my own Spiritual Mission Statement to Seek the Highest Good for All Things Concerned.” However, I am a born again "Starchild of God," and I believe in, and rest in the Peace and Grace of, a Glorified Divine, and I believe that is the only reason I have defied the odds and am still alive today.
