Help Andrew Regain Independence After Paralysis

  • Hi, I’m Jen, and I never thought I would be the one posting a GoFundMe. I’m doing this for my son, Andrew Gingras. He had a minor fall that actually led to him being paralyzed from the neck down. We are all just absolutely devastated. Andrew was an absolute miracle preemie baby, who grew up with a genetic disorder and cerebral palsy, and by his early 20s was completely independent. Now, such a small incident has taken away that independence he worked so hard to achieve. It’s so unfair.

  • We are fighting with insurance to lengthen his physical and occupational therapy to more than the two weeks they have authorized. That is nowhere near enough to help him gain back some of what he lost.

  • Another big issue is that when these hospital stays are done, he wants to go home, to HIS house, where his girlfriend can care for him. But he will be in a wheelchair. His house is old and has very small doorways. The bathroom is unusable to him. Major renovations need to be done, and of course, he will need a wheelchair ramp. There is so much more, but this is what I’m asking for your help with. Please, give what you can (even a $10 gift, would add up!) and please share his story!
