My name is Lisa, I am Andrew’s Mother.

I’m asking for help for my Son,My only Son

Andrew is only 22 years old.

In November, Andrew was involved in a terrible car accident that changed his life forever. He spent six days in the hospital he sustained a concussion and a broken back..

prior to the accident, he was having multiple days with migraines multiple days we were in the Emergency Room and after multiple trips to the ER those migraines turned into seizures.

As a mother I stayed with him caring for him I started to see a decline in his mental and physical health.

we followed up with doctor after doctor while awaiting for a MRI scan for answers.

He was prescribed multiple medications and no diagnosis.

in just weeks after his accident days before Christmas He life changed forever I was woken up by the fire alarm and I found My only Son on fire, I will never forget that day seeing my son engulfed in flames and screaming , covered in flames.

I’ll never forget those screams.

That day changed His life forever.

I put out the fire and called emergency services. They got their quickly and he was rushed to the nearest trauma center where he sustained second and third degree burns over 85 to 90% of his body he spent 47 days in ICU 53 days total in the trauma center.

Doctors said many people with these types of injuries don’t survive.

Andrew did.

He fought for his life

He underwent multiple procedures and three major surgeries.

He survived.

That was only the beginning.

while in the hospital Andrew lost everything.

I’m asking for help as I am on disability and have no transportation.

He continues to need ongoing care and support of basic needs.

I’m asking for help as we urgently need support, securing a safe stable and accessible home for Andrew‘s recovery. We currently need reliable transportation to get him to his many appointments and treatments along with future surgeries.

We are facing challenges that I never could have imagined.

We are needing ongoing physical therapy essential to his rehabilitation.

We are needing caregiver support for daily needs.

Recovery and rehab expenses, not covered by insurance.

We need help with legal expenses related to the circumstances of his injuries.

The long-term support needed to help Andrew rebuild independence and dignity.

Andrew is only 22

Before all this, he was a young man with his whole life ahead of him and a matter of weeks everything changed he went from recovering from a concussion and a broken back to fighting for his life with burns nearly covering his entire body.

Andrew is still here.

He fought through. And 53 days in trauma hospital, surgery and multiple procedures and unimaginable pain. And a healing journey Few people survive.

Now he needs a chance to truly heal and rebuild his life. As a mother, I will continue fighting beside him, but I cannot do this alone.
