Help Andrew Fight Lymphoblastic Leukemia
When I first started working with Andrew, I noticed something right away—his personality had a way of calming everyone around him. He was never angry, never irritated, always steady. He became a constant source of teaching, organizing, and quietly putting others first.
I’ve always loved people—their quirks, their little idiosyncrasies that make them imperfectly perfect. Andrew embodies that. He’s calm, like a cup of green tea. Steady, like a perfectly packed bento box. A master of HVAC, but also a master of patience and kindness. He radiates a quiet strength and a genuine warmth that makes you feel at ease.
Many in our Yellow Springs community know Andrew as your go-to HVAC expert at AC Service since 2016. He and his family live and work locally, pouring love and care into this town.
On July 28th, Andrew and his family received news no one is ever ready for: after weeks of confusing and conflicting diagnoses, his medical team confirmed he has ACUTE Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a rare and aggressive cancer.
Treatment began immediately. For the next five months, Andrew will undergo intensive chemotherapy—five days in the hospital each month—followed by three weeks of radiation. After that, he faces three years of medication to ensure the cancer does not return, especially in the brain.
We are extremely optimistic and know Andrew will beat this. But the financial reality is daunting. Copays are astronomical. His insurance deductible will reset in January. Everyday needs like groceries, school expenses for his child, and even seasonal chores like snow removal and mowing have now become a source of stress.
Without Andrew’s income, his family is struggling to cover:
- Medical costs not covered by insurance
- Paying for insurance
- Groceries and daily living expenses
- Home and yard maintenance/Snow removal
- Supplies for ongoing care
- The house and car payments
This is our call to action.
Andrew has given so much to this community—it’s our turn to show up for him. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden so Andrew and his family can focus on what matters most: his healing and recovery.
Please donate if you can, and share this campaign with others. Your kindness will make a lasting difference in Andrew’s fight.
Let’s stand with him. Let’s lift him up. Let’s help Andrew win this battle.
