Hi, my name is Marissa, and I’m raising funds on behalf of my dad, Andrew.
Andrew is fighting for his life. After surviving a heart attack, a ruptured kidney, internal bleeding, two open-heart surgeries, and vision loss, he now faces end-stage kidney failure. A transplant is his only hope.
On August 29th, Dad was rushed into the hospital for internal bleeding from a ruptured kidney with complications from his CKD (kidney failure). Doctors have told us his chance at life is a kidney transplant.
Five years ago, our lives were turned upside down when my dad was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure.(CKD) Since then, he’s been fighting every single day to stay with us — but doctors have made it clear: a kidney transplant is his only chance of survival. Without it, his future and our family’s future with him is at serious risk.
My Dad is one of the strongest and most resilient people I know. A man full of passion, creativity, and humor, he worked over 10 years at Motorola and has always provided for our family with dedication and love. When he isn't at work, he would be fixing cars for friends and family all while blasting Led Zeppelin and trying to reach that one note in the Immigrant song.
His journey hasn’t been easy.
