Help Andrew Overcome Amputation Challenges
Donation protected
Hello everyone thank you for taking the time to briefly get to know me, and to help me if you feel led to, anything will help.
If you don't know me, my name is Andrew, I am 54yo, I love spending time with my beautiful fur baby cats, I love traveling from time to time to get away, but I have been battling diabetes for over 20 years. It has been quiet the journey trying to do what was healthy and what I wanted. My A1C is coming down and I'm taking care of myself.
I recently started having issues with my left leg, and a cast was placed on the leg. But shortly after the cast was put on, I had a reaction and complications developed and the cast was removed.
After they removed the cast there was still pain in my foot, over Thanksgiving everything seemed fine and then Sunday my foot really started hurting me so December 2nd I went into the ER and they admitted me into the hospital. After running several tests they determined that they were going to have to do an amputation of parts of my left foot.
On Dec 5, the amputation was performed. I am still in the hospital and another week to go with a follow-up surgery and a PIC line.
Unfortunately since I'm in the hospital that means I'm not able to work, and since I can't work I'm not going to be able to pay my bills my rent is coming up and all my utilities. Not to mention these hospital bills are going to be through the roof all of these surgeries and emergency procedures that they had to do and are still going to have to do.
I know this time of year finances are tough on everybody but if there's a chance that you can spare just a little bit whatever you feel that is okay for you I would definitely appreciate it if you can donate to me. I do greatly appreciate your help.
