Hi everyone!

My name is Andrew Orrego. I am the writer, executive producer, and co-director of my latest short film, The Doofy Movie. This project is a labor of love, combining heartfelt humor with moments of real struggle. It follows the story of a high school geek, Walter, who is forced into a humiliating life as a mascot, street performer to repay a debt to a delinquent gang. He must find the courage to stand up to his tormentors and reclaim his dignity!

Beneath the quirky premise is a story of resilience, friendship, and standing up for yourself even when it feels like the world is against you.

Like Walter, we’ve all had moments where life seems to push us to our limits, and we feel trapped in situations we never expected. The Doofy Movie speaks to anyone who’s ever felt helpless but found the strength to fight back—with the help of those closest to them.
