Help Andrew on his journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Most recent update for all who are following the journey.

As some of you may know, Andrew once again ended up taking an ambulance ride to the hospital after falling unconscious and needed CPR from his girlfriend (me).
Turns out his heart was again in AFIB and half of his heart was working much harder than the other half which led to lack of blood flow and many other symptoms. At this point keeping up with all the medical terms and how the body operates is absolutely insane.
While in the hospital, medical staff worked on getting his heart rate normal and looking into what could have caused this episode. In the end they decided to move the heart surgery forward and expediting the ablation surgery.

Things are as normal as they can be right now.

Anxiety is always high when a loved ones life can potentially be in danger. As well as, of course, how to pay the bills and rent ect.

Andrew needs help and is extremely stubborn about asking for it. Andrew is eager to get back to work and provide but right now he needs to focus on his health.

I'm just throwing this back out into the universe to manifest good things.

And please pray that Andrew will be able to recover from the surgeries needed and quickly recover to get to being an active father and enjoy the things and life he loves.

If anyone can help with a donation great, if not that is totally understandable ..

Please share Andrews story.

Every little bit helps, including prayers and thoughts. Thank you all so much for showing concern and gathering together to support this family.♥️

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

You may know Andrew Quest from coaching youth sports, volunteering in activities within the cascade school district or you may know him from the Oregon State Hospital Network. Andrew is a Oregon native and has grown up and raised his kid in our amazing communities.

I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my Boyfriend and better half Andrew Quest, who recently faced a serious health scare. He was hospitalized for a week due to a sudden heart condition and his heart was in atrial fibrillation (Afib). Andrews heart was shocked 4x to regulate his heartbeat but continued to stay in A-fib. With medication Andrews heart slowed down and went back into sinus rhythm. This caused some damage to Andrews heart with it only functioning at 10%. During his stay the doctors raised concern for much more than just his heart. Concerns for possible cancer in his lymph nodes and a need to replace his prosthetic hip and a knee replacement due to his Avascular Necrosis, which is believed that the pain from AVN may have caused the A-fib. Andrew has upcoming appointments to Gastroenterology, Orthopedic specialists, Oncology, Cardiologist, somnologist(sleep specialist)and a pain specialist. Recent news from the cardiologist states that a surgery is needed to do an ablation on the heart. Along with that 2 other surgeries to include but not limited to a knee and a hip surgery.

Due to the hospitalization and recovery period and complications Andrew has been unable to work and is currently waiting for his short-term disability and Oregon Paid Leave benefits. Unfortunately, this delay has led to mounting medical bills and living expenses for his houshold and his son Mason. He is now struggling to pay AND has fallen behind on bills and struggling to pay for basic necessities such as groceries and fuel.

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to support Andrew Quest during this challenging time. Our goal is to raise $6,000 to $10,000 to help cover their medical expenses, prescriptions, rent, basic bills and daily living costs for the months of March and April. If you know Andrew he is not someone to ask for help and is always willing to help ANYONE. I'm positive he will do everything he can to try to make it work but, sometimes takes a village to take care of each other in times of need.

Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference and will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign within your network would mean the world to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.

With gratitude,
NICOLE HODGIN
