In the summer of 2024, Andrew received a diagnosis that completely shifted the direction of his life: multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic and unpredictable neurological condition. What started as subtle changes in how he felt day to day led to a long series of appointments and testing before finally getting answers.
MS affects everyone differently, and Andrew is fortunate that since starting treatment, no new spots have formed on his brain or spine. While this is a positive sign, he still experiences symptoms that require ongoing management. These symptoms including fatigue, neurological changes, and the overall adjustment that comes with living with a lifelong condition. Staying on top of treatment and monitoring is essential, and it comes with significant time, emotional energy, and financial cost.
Andrew runs a motorcycle repair shop and truly loves the work he does. While he’s still able to work, there are days when symptoms or appointments mean that the shop has to take a backseat. Even small interruptions can make it harder to maintain consistent income, especially when you’re self-employed and don’t have the safety net of paid time off.
The financial strain of specialist visits, testing, and treatment, on top of the day-to-day costs of living, has made this past year challenging. Through all of it, Andrew has handled everything with strength, positivity, and determination. He isn’t someone who asks for help easily, which is why friends wanted to step in and create this GoFundMe on his behalf.
Donations will help support:
• Medical expenses, testing, and ongoing MS care
• Travel and time away from work for appointments
• Support during periods when symptoms make it harder to work consistently
• General living expenses as he adjusts to managing a chronic condition
Any amount helps lighten the load and gives Andrew more space to focus on staying healthy and adapting to this new chapter of his life. And if you’re unable to donate, even sharing his story is incredibly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support someone who means so much to the people around him. Your kindness makes a real difference.
