Help Andrew Hercules Recover from Motorcycle Accident

On Monday, July 14th, Andrew Hercules was the victim of a traumatic hit-and-run accident while riding his motorcycle.

According to what we know so far, the collision sent him into oncoming traffic, where he was struck again, this time by a van. The driver, who struck Andrew, fled the scene, leaving him with serious injuries and a long road to recovery.

Andrew's currently in hospital with extensive injuries, including several leg fractures (which required emergency surgery), broken ribs and fractured vertebrae in his neck, amongst other injuries. We've been advised that he’ll need to stay off his feet for 6–8 weeks but doctors estimate that a full recovery could take up to 9 months, at this point.

At nearly 6'5", Andrew may tower over us — but those who know him will tell you he’s a gentle giant, whose quiet charisma & sense of humour draws people in. Even as he was being wheeled into surgery, he had the nurses laughing...although, that may have been the pain meds talking.

A proud dad, passionate musician and motorcycle enthusiast, Andrew turned his love for bikes into a career as a skilled motorcycle technician. Sadly, with his injuries, he won’t be able to return to work for quite some time.
