Dear friends and family,
I am writing to inform you of an unexpected medical emergency involving my niece, Chloey Wells’s fiancé, Andrew Green. Andrew has fallen ill without a discernible pattern, causing significant distress to everyone involved, particularly since he is now a new father and juggling multiple responsibilities.
On Tuesday, October 9, Andrew visited the Roseville Emergency Room with complaints of tingling and numbness in his arms and legs, as well as persistent headaches. He was discharged home with an occipital nerve block However, the following day, his condition worsened, resulting in facial paralysis and well as partial paralysis in his whole body. Concerned about the potential for respiratory arrest during sleep due to the progression of the paralysis, Andrew returned to the Roseville Emergency Room on October 11, 2025, where he underwent a series of diagnostic tests, including painful injections, CAT scans, MRIs, and blood tests.. Due to the hospitals inability to diagnose his illness, he has been admitted to monitor his vital signs and conduct further research on his condition. He has been there ever since.
Andrews doctors plan is to transfer him to UCSF for further medical evaluation. The doctors are investigating the possibility of Guillen-Barré syndrome (GBS) and will be providing appropriate treatment. However, they are unsure if his health insurance will be able to provide coverage while the situation has taken a turn for the worse, and Andrews's condition has worsened rapidly.
Andrews was once a vibrant and active individual, but recently, he has experienced widespread numbness throughout his body. The symptoms initially manifested in his toes and have since progressed to his entire body. As a result, he is now partially paralyzed and unable to function normally. The inability to move his facial muscles has significantly compromised his quality of life.
He encounters difficulties in communicating, walking, smiling, holding, and playing with his six-month-old son, as well as holding objects due to the rapid progression of his condition and its devastating impact on his physical abilities.
Due to the unexpected nature of the situation and the financial strain it has placed on Andrews and his family, we are seeking assistance with medical and general expenses, as well as hotel, food, and transportation costs. We were unable to adequately prepare financially for this unexpected and traumatic turn of events.
We are deeply grateful for any support or assistance you can provide. Your prayers and comfort during this difficult time will be greatly appreciated. We would also like to extend our support to those who are grieving this unexpected turn of events in their lives.
