Last summer, Andrew was forced to stop working due to complications from CTEPH that led to right heart failure and the discovery of a blood cancer called Polycythemia Vera. These conditions and their drug treatments have left him unable to work since September, a doubly difficult situation for someone that prides himself on being a hard and dedicated worker and a provider.

The good news is that he is a candidate for an effective surgery to treat this condition and remove chronic blood clots in his lungs, scheduled for March 2026.

There are few people in this world with as hearty a laugh or as infectious in their enthusiasm as Drew. People that know and love him, count him as one of those rare friends where whether it's been five days or five years since you've spoken, the strength of the bond hasn't lessened.
