- My name is Raven, and I am writing this with a very heavy heart.

Early this morning, my boyfriend, Andrew Lizotte, the father of our 3-month-old son, EJ, was rushed by care flight for emergency brain surgery. What we thought was a simple sinus infection turned into a life-threatening nightmare when the infection spread to his brain. In an instant, our world was turned upside down.

Andrew is the sole provider for our family. Now, as he lies in the hospital fighting to heal, I am left not only terrified for his life, but also unsure how I will keep a roof over our heads, pay bills, and care for our sweet baby boy. Doctors have told us that Andrew faces a long recovery, with weeks of IV antibiotics and possibly months of rehab and therapy ahead.

I am reaching out with all the vulnerability in my heart to ask for help. Your donations will go toward:

Today, doctors received follow-up MRI results and found that his brain infection has returned and is more aggressive than before. His medical team has scheduled him for a second brain surgery (craniotomy) to remove the infection. While this news is frightening, the doctors are confident that this procedure is necessary and will help clear the infection.

Andrew's second surgery went well and is doing good and remains under close monitoring, on strong IV antibiotics, and faces a long recovery with possible rehab and therapy following surgery. Your continued support helps us focus on his care and recovery during this critical time.
