Hi everyone, my name is Andrew, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart but also with hope. I’ve recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. It’s still in the early stages, but it’s advancing faster than expected due to my family history. My doctors have recommended that I undergo a colectomy followed by treatment and recovery therapy.
I’m creating this fundraiser to help cover the costs of surgery, post-surgery care, and ongoing treatment. It’s difficult for me to ask for help, but I know that I can’t face this challenge alone.
Last year was the hardest year of my life — I lost both of my parents to cancer in 2024. My mother, Sandra, passed away on May 2, and just a few months later, my father, Andrew, passed on September 4. Their strength and courage during their battles inspire me every day to fight my own. I want to honor them by continuing to live fully and creatively — something they always encouraged me to do.
Outside of this fight, I’m passionate about the things that bring me joy and connection — model design and building, painting miniatures and oil paintings, creating displays for miniatures, and everything Jeep-related. I love teaching, sharing techniques, and helping others in our creative communities — whether it’s cooking, painting, 3D design, diorama building, or working on and modifying Jeeps for off-roading adventures.
I also find happiness and belonging with my friends — spending game days with Gang Green DFW, our New York Jets fan club, or chatting with all my fellow fans in the Kaiju, Godzilla, and Gunpla groups. Those friendships, conversations, and shared passions mean the world to me, and they’ve helped me stay strong and positive through everything.
Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. Even if you can’t give financially, sharing this fundraiser or leaving a comment with a kind word or memory means just as much. Every bit of support helps me move one step closer to recovery and back to doing what I love — creating, helping others, and living life to the fullest.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey.
— Andrew
