I am asking for help for my family and our animals after back-to-back storms turned our lives upside down on the Big Island. We were still trying to recover from the Kona Low storms when Hurricane Lala hit and brought even more destruction to our homestead. Between 20 and 30 trees came down around our property, leaving us trapped with no power and no tools to handle this kind of damage. Right now, husband and wife, our 8-year-old son, our 5-year-old daughter, and our animals, including 10 cats, 20 ducks, and 15 small rabbits, are all trying to make it through an incredibly difficult and uncertain situation. We are down to under $100, our vehicle is breaking down, and we are sleeping in it tonight while the rain is still coming down and we do not know if more storms are on the way.

We are asking for immediate support to help us get through this crisis and start finding a way forward. Donations will help with general assistance, tools to clear trees and restore safety, food for our family and animals, vehicle parts, and gas so we can keep moving and get what we need.
