I’m Andrew, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my cats because life has unraveled faster than I ever expected. I was doing okay, but over the last 8 months everything started piling up at once. A work injury led to medical bills, and then I got sick and spent 2 weeks on the couch with several more weeks recovering, which brought even more expenses. On top of that, my cats needed 2 emergency vet visits that maxed out my CareCredit and other credit cards and drained the savings I had worked hard to build. Since then, it has felt like there’s been too much going out and not nearly enough coming in.

Right now, I’m behind on rent and facing eviction, late on my car payment, behind on utilities, and trying to manage medical bills, vet bills, and credit card bills all at the same time. I also have upcoming vet follow-up visits this week, and I’m struggling just to keep food in the kitchen while trying to catch up. I’ve looked into government and state assistance, but it’s been difficult to qualify and slow to get any answers.
