Hello, my name is Andres Ortiz. I am the youngest son of Lucia Ortiz.

It is with deep sorrow that I share the news that my beloved mother has recently passed away after a long and courageous battle with leukemia—over 10 years of strength, courage and unwavering love. Her final weeks were unexpected, and the health complications took her sooner than we anticipated, leaving us all devastated.

My mother was truly the most compassionate, sweetest and most reliable person I’ve ever known. She was our glue that held our family together. Our rock that we could lean on when times got tough. Through every hardship, she remained selfless, always putting her children, grandchildren, and others before herself. If you were down on your luck, my mother would open her door for you, or help you in any way she could. She touched so many lives with her heart and her kindness, and now we want to honor her the way she deserves.

My family and I are humbly asking for your help to give our mother a proper and beautiful burial—one that reflects the incredible person she was. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go toward covering the costs of her funeral services. Your support would mean the world to us.
