Help Andrei & Heidi rebuild from Historic Flooding

Hello, I am Mario Middleton-Tremaine, and I am fundraising on behalf on my brother, Andrei, his wife Heidi, and their children. On September 11, 2023, their home in Attleboro, Massachusetts, was severely affected by historic rainfall and flash flooding in the New England area. The area saw over 10 inches of rainfall within a short 6 hour period. Andrei's basement was severely damaged by the flooding, as the sump pump was unable to drain off the immense amount of water running into the basement. As a result, their boiler is completely unusable, as is their washer, dryer, and freezer (losing food in the process). In addition, there is damage to walls, flooring, and there will be a need for mold removal. Irreplaceable belongings, such as photos and family keepsakes were destroyed, as well as their son Jaden's record collection.

Total damage of the flooding was estimated at $30,000 by their insurance company. However, even with the severity of the damage, insurance has only offered to pay $3,500, as flooding was not covered under their homeowners insurance.

Most importantly, with an estimated cost of $14,000, the boiler must be replaced quickly due to the upcoming winter season, which is bitter cold in New England. This is essential, as it is their only source of heat. The rest of fund will go to repairing the water damage of the basement, as well as replacing the washer, dryer, freezer, some furniture, and other items damaged by the flooding.

This was a historic amount of flooding that experts say was a once in 200 year event. No one expected or could prepare for the amount of rainfall that occurred. Every dollar raised will go directly to funding Andrei and his family's basement damage. We greatly appreciate any amount of support, and we thank you for looking at our campaign.
