Help Andrea’s Stage III Breast Cancer Journey

On January 9th, 2023, Andrea went to her university health center at Penn State University about a lump she had self identified on her breast. By January 20th, 2023, she was diagnosed with Stage 3A, Invasive Pleomorphic Lobular Carcinoma at the age of 23. This specific type of cancer accounts for 1% of all epithelial breast malignancies, making it extremely rare and aggressive.

 After seeing oncologists and surgeons, it was decided that chemotherapy will be the first step in her battle, starting on March 2nd, 2023. She will then undergo a double mastectomy with reconstruction, and radiation shortly after.

 Andrea is a forensic science graduate student at Penn State, and a Florida International University alumni. She will be moving back to Florida, where her family is, in order to receive treatment and her double mastectomy. She’s aiming to go back to school and finish her Masters Degree as soon as she finishes treatment.

 All donations and financial help will go towards:
 - Medical expenses
 - Treatment/Medical devices not covered by insurance
 - Travel expenses to and from hospitals and treatment centers
- Relocation fees from Pennsylvania to Florida, and later on from FL to PA
- Medications
 - Counseling
