Help Andrea Walker in her cancer journey

Update: Andrea will have surgery to remove her thyroid on July 29th. They will remove surrounding lymph nodes, and biopsy them to make sure it hasn’t spread. She may have to have radioactive iodine therapy, but not sure yet. Thank you all so much for the outpouring of support for Andrea. Hello, my name is Melissa Kelly, and I’m fundraising for my younger sister, Andrea Walker. She was very recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Many of you know Andrea as one of your favorite bartenders at Sharky’s in Latrobe, PA. I know Andrea as my beautiful sister, an amazing wife and mom of five. Andrea is Superwoman. She is a very dedicated and selfless employee, mother, and wife, always putting everyone before herself. A cancer diagnosis is terrifying, stops you in your tracks, and changes life as you know it. We know this all too well, as I’ve had cancer also, and now our family is struck again with this evil disease. I know Andrea will be seeing her doctor next week to discuss surgery. She is not sure of all the details yet, as the cancer was just confirmed, following a recent biopsy. Andrea will be missing some time at work and her customers, and her everyday expenses and bills, along with potential medical copays, are something that you don’t want to worry about when you’re faced with cancer. Let’s show Andrea lots of love and support, and do what we can to take even a little less stress off of her during this time!
