My name is Andrea Stith. I'm 40 years old, newly married, and now facing the hardest financial and medical struggle I've ever personally faced. I had a total hysterectomy 16 weeks ago on November 6th. Finally, at the beginning of the new year, I got back to working and had only gotten a chance to work long enough to have 2 full paychecks when suddenly, on Saturday (January 31st), I had a very unexpected major medical emergency. My vaginal cuff from my hysterectomy apparently tore apart, and around 12 hours later, after getting much worse once up and moving, I had immense pain, got sick, and almost passed out. By then, I had a prolapsed small bowel literally protruding from me. I had no choice but to have my husband call the ambulance, and I was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital and had to have an emergency repair surgery. Now I'm looking to be off another 6 weeks minimum.
I had hardly had any time to make money back up after the sad amount of $700 every 2 weeks for 2 months. Needless to say, we weren't prepared for this or even close to being able to catch up from me just being off for 8 weeks and only back to work for an entire month. So, as embarrassing as it is to make one of these for myself and my many medical and monthly bills, I simply am desperate and have no other option. Truly nothing. So, I am graciously asking for your support and help if at all possible. I made the amount to where it equals about 2 months' worth of paychecks. Without that, I will not be able to make current bills (which I'm already not able to make now that I can't work until mid-March). Anything helps. Thank you so much.
