On New Year's, I experienced something I never expected—my parked car was hit in a hit & run. When I returned, I found it destroyed, and the person responsible was nowhere to be found and no note in sight. As someone supporting myself through grad school, this has been a huge setback, both financially and emotionally. I rely on my car every day to get to class, work, and manage my responsibilities, so losing it so suddenly has made things even more challenging. As you can see from the images, there’s no damage to the front, and my airbags weren’t deployed, proving that I was hit from behind while the car was off, and I had no fault in the accident.
Unfortunately, even though I wasn’t at fault, my insurance won't cover all the repairs needed to get my car back on the road. It also doesn't cover car rentals. The costs are overwhelming, and as a student, I simply don't have the extra funds to cover this unexpected expense. I also work an hour from home, so I’ll be using some of the funds to help with transportation costs, including car rentals, while my car is out of commission. Every dollar raised will go directly toward collision repairs and getting me to work, helping me regain my independence and keep moving forward with my education and life.
Your donation is greatly appreciated, and I could really use the help right now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for considering a contribution. Your support means the world to me during this difficult time.
