My sister Andrea experienced a fire and lost 80% of her belongings. Due to the circumstances, none of what was lost will be covered by insurance. She lives a simple life in a tiny home out in the country in southern Utah. Thankfully, she was not home and the fire was contained to one of her storage buildings, a camper, and spared her living space in her tiny cabin home.
On Tuesday, October 21 she was traveling home from work when she received a phone call from a neighbor explaining that the fire department was on her property and her camper was on fire. She prayed that her tiny home was safe! Upon her arrival, her camper was at a total loss. It was close to her home, and the heat caused windows to break and shatter and caused some minor damage to her tiny home.
Andrea is a humble minimalist who doesn't ask for help. She really could use your support now. She shares her time with family and friends through conversations on the phone, helping people in need of housing at her job for the county and is very passionate about teaching people about eating healthy food and caring for the environment. She really is a kind-hearted and generous person.
Over the past few years she built her homestead slowly by first purchasing the land and living in a camper, then saving money to build a tiny home. Up until the fire, she used the camper to store all her belonging.
She would frequently go to her storage camper to get things she needed on a weekly basis. Since she lives in a tiny home, so she can't have much in there. Apart from the loss of this camper, she lost a laptop, most of her linens, kitchen appliances, a stocked freezer, a vacuum, most of her clothing, etc.
In an effort to support Andrea through this loss, what she really needs to get back on her feet is to be able to purchase a storage shed before she could even start to replace her personal belongings that were lost.
