Help Andrea Rebuild Her Home & Health

Meet Andrea Arellano and her son Xavier from Las Vegas, New Mexico. These two have been going through a very trying time. Two years ago, Andrea was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had to go through extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment which also included a mastectomy.  Her medical needs were not able to be met in rural Las Vegas so she was given no choice but to travel to Santa Fe, NM.  According to her doctor, she was now at a good place to proceed with breast reconstruction surgery.  Unfortunately due to a high white blood cell count discovered in her preoperative blood work, she has had no other choice but to put the reconstruction on hold. She is currently going through  further testing to rule out leukemia and autoimmune disorders.
To make matters worse, her home in Las Vegas, NM has been broken into TWICE in the past week. What wasn't stolen from her home the first time was taken in the second round yesterday. They took EVERYTHING which included her stove, washer, toiletries, food, furniture, belongings and her cats. The few items left behind were a couple of bath towels, articles of clothing and some of her son's science books. If life wasn't hard enough already Andrea and her family are completely devastated.  As a community, let's make the holiday season a little bit brighter for her and her ten-year- old young son.
