Andrea is a 34-year-old mother of four from Elk Grove, California. Her Children are 14, 12, 5 & 4 years old. Andrea was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that spread to her bones. Aside from the breast cancer, Andrea was also diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Andrea & her husband Glenn, who is a United States Marine Corps Veteran that served in Afghan, recently purchased a home for their family in November of 2021. The purchase of their home depleted their savings account. Their new house came with many unexpected expenses due to a dishonest inspection causing them to spend thousands of dollars on repairs. Andrea has been a stay-at-home mom for the last couple of years. Her husband, Glenn, is the sole provider for their home.
In December of 2021, Andrea was diagnosed with breast cancer. In January of 2022, doctors told Andrea that she had stage 4 breast cancer. Doctors at Kaiser have told Andrea that there is not much they can do for her. Kaiser has told her that she has no cure and may be able to live for a few years. Andrea has Kaiser insurance through the IBEW union. Her Kaiser insurance has precluded her from going out of the Kaiser network. Andrea and her family do not qualify for state medical or government assistance. Andrea has had out-of-pocket expenses searching for other answers to fight this cancer. Andrea has had many inconsistencies with her care team at Kaiser, and she has tried going to other facilities outside of Kaiser.
- Andrea got a second opinion at Stanford, and they would like to do further testing, which she will need funds for. Andrea lives approximately 100 miles away from Stanford Hospital. Andrea is a fighter and intelligent woman who is not giving up. Andrea has lots of faith & hopes to survive this to raise awareness for others about breast cancer at a young age and help others in her situation. Andrea has an option of getting treatment in Germany, which is not available for metastatic breast cancer patients in the United States. The treatment consists of theranostics imaging. The new approach, known as "theranostics," is revolutionizing cancer care by combining diagnostics and therapeutics in the delivery of targeted radiotherapy, which is currently not available in the United States for patients with breast cancer. Andrea is a fantastic mother and wife, and her family needs her. She is a kind, caring and loving person who is always willing to help others. I would love to help her raise funds to help with medical expenses, bills, travel expenses, home expenses, etc. I hope that this can help save her life. Please help this beautiful, veteran family out in any way possible. Any donation is highly appreciated, and if you cannot do so, even prayer is highly appreciated. Thank you.
