Our dear friends, Andrea and Steve, need our help right now. Andrea is currently in the hospital after being diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a condition where the brain has trouble sending and receiving signals properly, causing real neurological symptoms such as seizures, weakness, or movement and speech difficulties—even though there’s no structural damage to the nervous system. She is out of work while receiving treatment, she’s not able to walk, she is going to be going to a rehabilitation center where she will be doing extensive physical therapy to learn to walk on her own again Steve has been by her side every step of the way. These two are truly incredible people who give so much love and support to everyone around them. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. With daily expenses, and food costs piling up on top of an outrageous house payment and utilities bills it is virtually impossible to make ends meet on Steve’s income alone and Andrea is terrified of losing the house to return to FND is a disorder that doctors say feeds on stress and it is making it very hard for her to heal any donation—big or small—will make a huge difference. Right now, money is especially needed while they work on getting medical leave sorted out, as bills are stacking up quickly. We don’t know how long Andrea’s recovery will take, but we do know that together we can help ease the financial burden so they can focus on what matters most: her healing.
