Help Andrea Avoid Unjust Prison Sentence

My name is Andrea. I really need you guys' help and support because I am in a really tough spot right now. Clayton County is trying to sentence me to 15 years for vehicular homicide hit-and-run. Almost 3 years ago, around 4 am, I was on my way home, and all I know is the guy ran into my car on the driver's side. He was either trying to beat my SUV across the street or worse. I said to myself, I know this was not a person who just ran into my car; it had to be a deer. I stopped but was so shaken up. I had glass all over me, the driver's side only. It was drizzling with rain, and it's very dark on that end of the street. No cars came up or down the street. I'm 5'0" and 140 lbs. I just panicked and drove off. As soon as I got home, I googled how your car looks when you hit a deer. When those images popped up, I was even more convinced I hit a deer. I went back to the scene and called 911 a total of 2 times, spoke with someone both times. When police arrived, that's when I was informed I hit a pedestrian. They made me do an alcohol sobriety test, I passed, and they told me they were gonna tow my car and find me a ride home. I got my truck back like a week later, got the windshield fixed, and carried on with life. Two weeks later, I was informed that the pedestrian passed away. Bless his soul, and I was arrested a month later. I sat in jail for 5 months with no bond before my family hired an excellent lawyer out of Clayton County, and I had a bond 2 weeks later. Anyway, my license was valid, and I had full coverage insurance on the vehicle. We were not at a crosswalk or intersection; he just came out of nowhere. I'm looking forward, and he came from the corner of the driver's side. I owe my lawyer $18,000, charging me $25,000 total. I am a mother of 5 and have an 8-month-old grandchild that I've been taking care of for months. Three girls and two boys, and all of my kids need me, especially my 8-year-old. My 17-year-old girl will be a senior this upcoming school year, and she was on the A/B honor roll ending 11th grade. My other 3 kids are grown, 21, 26, and 27, and they need me as well. I am an only child, and they don't really have anybody else. My family lives way in Michigan, and we have been in Georgia since 1996. I'm asking for help because I really need it, and I can't go to prison for 10-15 years. It was an accident, and I came back to the scene. I can show you guys the discovery packet to show the proof we were not at an intersection. I apologized to his mom yesterday, and she hugged me and said she knows it was an accident. I am in tears typing this, but I know God knows my heart and sees all. I have faith that this will turn out okay. Continued prayers to his family.
