André Phillip Richey entered this world on 11/12/2020 at 10:36 AM, weighing 1 pound, 1 ounce.
He is a fighter. He is strong. Only God knows this precious little one's future. Right now, his heart is strong and he is fighting all the wires, keeping Mom and Dad and the NICU nurses entertained.
The latest news has not been good. André has bleeds on both sides of his brain. His acid level in his blood should be 5, with anything above 15 indicating his organs will shut down. His acid level is at 16.
The amazing staff is keeping him comfortable and no one has given up on his recovery. They are doing absolutely everything they can. We will update this as much as possible.
Because so many people have asked how they can help, we are giving everyone an opportunity to help financially here. We wish we could lift the emotional burden, but we'd like to try to relieve some of the financial stress so Jennie and Stephen can focus on their sweet son, as well as on the care of their other son Jude.
If you'd like to help in any other way, please contact their family. Jennie and Stephen have been very overwhelmed with the kindness and support, but may not have the time now to get back to everyone.
We welcome your prayers. Jennie, Stephen, and our whole family is reading every last encouraging word.
