Help Andre Finish University!

Hi! My name is Andre and I'm a Studio Art major senior in my last semester at HU. I'm a Latinx, First-Generation American, trans student with little to no financial support from my family for my last semester. I'm a three-year track student, meaning I'm graduating in three years instead of the usual four. This is a big achievement, and I wish I could say it was completely voluntary, but it's been out of necessity. Paying for my college education has been an uphill battle. I'm hoping to raise some funds to help pay for my last semester of college.

My goal is only listed as half of what I need to pay, because getting a $5k private loan with no cosigner is cheaper than a $10.5K one. I have absolutely no one close to me that is able to cosign on a private loan for me, and I'm not qualified to submit an independent student FAFSA as I do not meet the requirements. My parents do their best to support me in certain bills, but this semester's tuition is not one of them. They are unwilling and unable to help with with a loan, and much less so pay out of pocket.

I have big aspirations for my life and career, as well as the impact I can have on the world. I'm an ambitious student, and I have every intention to make the most of my education. The only thing in my way is my ability to pay for it.

I am grateful for everyone who has helped me in my times of need, including my parents who have exhausted their resources for me to attend college, as well as anyone who is gracious enough to help me through this difficult time.

I reached my $5.5k goal!! I’ve raised my goal to the full tuition, as to try my VERY best to avoid taking out a private loan. Thank you everyone who has donated so far!!
