Help Andre Biro recover from his Stroke

A popular Banff local has suffered a stroke and is facing a lengthy uphill battle of recovery.

Andre Biro from the Fairmont Banff Springs was rushed to the Foothills hospital in Calgary on July 4.

A few days later his mom Sandy was able to get here from Ontario and as Andre has no immediate family in our area Sandy has been here since Thursday and bills will pile up as she stays here longer. Eating out, accommodations, transportation and other out of pocket costs are things not covered by any health care benefits Andre has.

We may need to put together a full fundraising event once Andre is able to leave the hospital and his rehabilitation starts but the goal in the immediate future is to make sure his family can afford to stay in Alberta to care for him.

Andre is one of those friends hopefully all of us have. He's the guy that just never says No whenever anyone asks him for help and now he needs our help.
