My name is Andrea McComis, but almost everyone calls me Andi. I am a single 36-year-old woman who has always been pretty independent, at least I have been the past few years. That being said, I recently found out I have stage 3 cervical cancer, and for the most part, I’m going through this alone. I have a few family members and friends that help where they can, but I need help.

Though I have a job waiting for me, I am about to go through 3 months of chemo, and that means 3 months of no pay medical leave. My chemo is in a completely different part of the state from where I live now and so I have to stay in the city close to my treatments. My biggest concern has not really been my health but on what I am to do when and if I get better. No job means no way to pay bills. This money would help me be less stressed about what I do next and would allow me to focus on getting better. With all my heart I wish I didn’t have to ask for help but here I am all but begging for someone to show me kindness.
