Help and support for The Carbone Family
A year ago our friend Sal received unimaginable news. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer. A diagnosis that nobody could have ever predicted, especially since he was only 38 years old at the time. Sal was just beginning his life with his wife and children. He was a strong and supportive husband to his wife Kristin and a loving and dedicated father to his two children Gina (6) and Anthony (4). In Sal’s eyes his family was everything to him. His dream was to see them grow up happy and healthy. He also wanted Anthony to receive the best of everything to support his development. Anthony has Autism and is nonverbal. Sal was moving mountains to help and protect Anthony.
Even though cancer was destroying his body, Sal did not let it destroy his spirit. He pushed through it up until a few weeks ago. He was going to work, and still offering to help everyone out. That’s the type of person he was. If you had an issue, he was going to grab his work bag out of his car and try to fix it.
Kristin and the kids will now need our support more than ever. This will be a huge transition period for them, especially since Sal was the main provider. Sal was always one to help other people out and never ask for anything in return. This is our thank you for his kindness and friendship.
We hope to raise as much money as possible to make moving forward slightly easier during this period.
This will be hard, but Sal was loved by everyone. Kristin will know how much he mattered and how we will all look out for her and the kids.
Salvatore Carbone was the best of everything. We were all very blessed and lucky to have had such a wonderful, kind, funny and considerate person in our lives. We will all miss him and truly hope that he rests in peace. He will continue to look out for us from above.
