on December 6, 2019, Gerard Schena, Kerry and Zach’s father, suffered a stroke. Initially he was talking and hoping for a release from the hospital. On Sunday, December 8, he had a second stroke which was massive and resulted in major medical complications. Currently he is in an induced coma at a MICU at Lahey Medical  Center in Burlington. Gerard had been a hard worker , self-employed as a builder and carpenter his  entire life.  Sadly while he was working is when the first signs of the pending stroke appeared.  We are asking for help ; a donation of any size,  to help with existing expenses.  

The future is uncertain , but we all hold on to hope and also ask for your continued prayers. Those of you who know Gerard, know him as gregarious, generous and playful. He adores his  grandchildren ... sadness is overwhelming
