Help and Support Dave: Medical and Financial Challenges

Donation protected
Anyone who knows my dad knows that he would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needs it. He is also someone who never asks for help unless he has run out of options. I have officially run out of recourses to help him..

Dad had surgrey September 4th 2024 to fuse his foot and ankle due to diabetic charcot's foot. He was able to go back to work on December 30th. But, on February 23, 2025 he was admitted to the hospital with a joint infection that caused him to go septic. He had to have 2 different surgreys to clean out and remove all the hardware that was placed in September of 2024. He came home with a picc line and got IV antibiotics for 6 weeks. He will still need atleast 1 more surgery to put hardware back in once we know forsure that all the infection is totally gone. He is looking at a total of 6-9 months of recovery from this.

He has now spent all his saving between his first surgrey/ time off and this unexpected one. He has been denied short term disability from his place of work that he has been at for 9 years. We are still awaiting social security disability but it can take months for them to approve him (I was told up to 200+ days). He is a single-income house hold and is currently bringing in $0.

I understand that times are hard for many people right now. If you are unable to give, please share!

Thank you!
