Help and Hope for Elijah Aleman

Elijah's campaign has been transferred from YouCaring to GoFundMe. All previous updates will be cut and pasted in the updates section. Here is Elijah's original story:
The Aleman family is so precious, and 2017 has been their toughest year as Elijah Aleman is bravely fighting osteosarcoma. He is doing all the fighting, and we can also continue to do our part. On behalf of the Aleman family, thank-you for your prayers, love and support. Elijah is a 15 year old sophomore. He has autism. He loves soccer and going to school. He loves making other people laugh. He reads to his little brother, Noah. He loves Garfield comics and Charlie Brown books. :-) . As you may know, after repeated chemo treatments for osteosarcoma in the right arm, trials, and the cancer metastasizing to Elijah's shoulder, Elijah's most recent battle was the amputation of his right arm on November 16th, just before Thanksgiving. The Lord has blessed him with incredible emotional and physical strength, but the healing is ongoing, and we can imagine how difficult. In Claire's words, "Elijah is strong, yet honest in his suffering." We thank God for Elijah's amazing parents, Claire and Gus, for Elijah's 5 incredible siblings (haven't you enjoyed Claire's recent photo journal on Facebook about each of the Aleman children?), for the bond between Elijah and his beautiful twin sister, and all of Elijah's family, friends, medical staff and even strangers who surround this precious young man with support. And support they need, friends. It is Christmas, and Elijah has yet another battle to conquer. This week, Elijah has started another round of chemo. This requires Claire to be with Elijah for 5 to 7 days of the week in the hospital, every 2 to 3 weeks. The strain on this family is intense, and the financial hardship is not one we want Claire and Gus to endure while caring for what we pray is Elijah's last and successful chemo regimen. Claire and Gus are not one's to share, but I asked Claire to be honest. I learned that as of late, they have had to make a decision between bills or their rent- so rent it is. Friends, Claire, Gus, Elijah and the whole Aleman family need to focus on Elijah's medical needs, not financial burdens. December is a beautiful time to give, so we ask for your loving and generous support for both their financial needs and also blessings at Christmas. ((First being that Elijah needs a single-handed Xbox controller for his long days and nights in the hospital or at home in recovery--but there is only one guy that makes them and he is back-ordered and not cheap)). I am privileged to keep you posted regularly and thank-you in advance for your loving support of Elijah and the Aleman family. What is the FIRST thing you can do? SHARE this campaign.
