Cary, an Army veteran, a lifelong Iowan, a mother and grandmother, is preparing for a heartbreaking Christmas for her children and grandson. Cary’s husband is currently being held in ICE custody, with no clue of when or if he will return home.

Jose, Cary's husband of 14 years and a resident of Iowa for almost 20 years, has (alongside Cary) provided a wonderful life for their ever-growing family. Their 4 children, ages 28, 25, 15, and 12, and 5-year-old grandson are devastated, and for good reason.

Jose was arrested for DUI (1st offense), which would normally result in heavy fines and/or driving restrictions. But Jose is still being held, and there’s no telling what the outcome will be.

No amount of money can replace a stand-up, hardworking father/grandfather, but hopefully this will help Cary while she and her family fight, take out loans, and work extra hours, all to bring Jose home.
