I am Nivin from Gaza. I used to live a stable life in my home with my four children. However, I lost my home in the war. I have no other home to shelter me and my children. We now live in a tent, which offers no protection from the cold of winter or the heat of summer, especially since my foot was injured in the war. Due to the lack of hospitals or doctors, I underwent surgery, and I desperately need another operation as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are no means to perform it. I need to travel and be evacuated with my children, as I am in dire need of medical treatment and urgent surgery to save my leg from amputation. I am the breadwinner of the family, amidst the miserable conditions, the exorbitant prices, the treatment I need daily, and the responsibility that falls on my shoulders. As a family, we need a helping hand and assistance to survive and escape death, whether through food, shelter, medical treatment, or the surgery that will lead to the loss of my leg, as we are stranded. We have been displaced from Gaza to Rafah and other places, and this requires paying exorbitant sums of money for my family and I to escape war, hunger, and extreme poverty.
