This morning, on my way to work, I found Anchovy—a young dog—lying injured on the side of Highway 31 near the Coca-Cola Amphitheater. He had been hit by a car and left on the sidewalk, unable to move, with a broken leg. After rushing him to the vet, I learned that his back left femur is fractured and he’ll need surgery to install a metal plate and pins to stabilize it. Anchovy is only 1-2 years old, heartworm negative, and has a full life ahead of him if he can get the care he needs.

I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover Anchovy’s vet bills and give him the best chance at recovery. The costs for surgery and follow-up care are more than I can manage alone, but I know that with the support of this caring community, we can help Anchovy heal and find the loving home he deserves.
