19 year old Anathi Ndamase is located in Port Elizabeth South Africa, and her dream is to become a Safari Guide. In 2016, she was found by Wilderness Foundation Africa , an organization with the goals of conserving species, protecting spaces, and educating people in South Africa. Since then, she has worked her way through the WFA's Siyazenzela training course and was chosen to be sent to the Ulovane Environmental Training program where she will learn to become a safari guide.

"Wilderness Foundation Africa has developed a number of holistic skills development and education interventions that harness the healing power of nature, to equip vulnerable youth to be economically active and environmentally responsible citizens. The programme has recruited students from many different townships– urban and rural informal settlements which are the most poor and vulnerable, throughout South Africa. The programme also strives to achieve a balance of female and male applicants. The key approach to selection is youth-centred while also recognizing the needs of employers, and involves partnerships with many community-based organizations (CBOs), local government agencies and schools."



All of the money from this campaign will go directly to Anathi's tuition fund for the 10-week Ulovane Environmental Training program, where she will learn all about:

·         Weather and Climate
·         Ecology
·         Biomes of Southern Africa
·         Taxonomy
·         Plants and Grasses
·         Arthropods
·         Amphibians
·         Reptiles
·         Fish
·         Birds

·         Animal Behavior
·         Historical Human Habitation
·         Conservation Management

The money from this campaign will pay for:
·         Accommodation & Meals
·         Conservation and Park Entry Fees
·         Uniform
·         All tuition and field trips
·         Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) fees
·         Access to the Ulovane Online Platform
·         Prescribed FGASA literature and books
