My name is Julia, I live in Sweden and I am trying to help my friends who lives in Kiev (You see Sergey and Anastasia in the photo).
Here is a letter from my friend Sergey:
My name is Sergey. My wife Anastasia and I live in Kiev, Ukraine. Anastasia is a young girl, she is a wonderful person, loves to dance and I love her very much.
Trouble has come to our family: my wife was poisoned by alkali in may of 25th 2018. It was a very serious condition, she burned her stomach and esophagus she was rescued in intensive care and spent 1 month in hospital #17 in Kiev. The surgeon had decided to remove her stomach completely. After that Anastasia spent three months of rehabilitation in the hospital department (26/06-2018 – 10/09 2018) where she lost 25 kg of body weight. We spent a large amount of money for surgery and treatment for this time, about twelve thousand dollars.
Now she need to replace her esophagus with a new one made from the colon. Otherwise, she can neither eat or drink. Anastasia has a scar inside of esophagus, burned with alkali, and is now only 2-3 mm wide for ingesting food, and it quickly narrows. She already drinks water and nutrions mixes with teaspoon. She can’t eat anything and she continues to lose weight. This new operation and rehabilitation after surgery may cost about fifteen thousand dollars and it needs to be done in may 2019.
I really want to save my wife Anastasia. And I ask for your help: to help raise funds for surgery on the esophagus and for subsequent rehabilitation for several months in the hospital. Anastasia really wants to drink and eat normally through the mouth, like all people. And she could continue to live a full life and not die of starvation.
We will be grateful for any help! Thank you so much for everything!
