Anastasia is my four-year-old English spot rabbit, and she has already been through so much in her young life. I rescued her from a situation where she was neglected and was about to be released into the wild. As many people know, domesticated rabbits cannot survive on their own, and I knew I had to step in to give her a second chance. In just the short time she’s been with me, Anastasia has shown an incredible personality and a bright, loving spirit. She loves to cuddle, enjoys getting pets, and has even become fond of my dog. She’s got a bit of an attitude too—if I stop petting her before she’s ready, she’ll stomp to let me know she isn’t done with the cuddles! What makes Anastasia truly unique is her ability to love and forgive, even after everything she’s been through. Despite having every reason to fear humans, she chooses to trust and share her affection.
Unfortunately, the neglect she suffered has led to serious health issues. Most urgently, Anastasia has developed a large abscess on her cheek, about the size of a golf ball. The only way to treat this is through surgery, but the placement of the infection near vital nerves in her face makes the procedure risky and requires an exotic surgical specialist. As anyone with experience knows, exotic vet bills are already expensive, and the cost of surgery and ongoing treatment is even higher. The funds raised will go directly toward her surgery, follow-up appointments, medication, and any other care she needs to recover and live a happy, healthy life.
I am so grateful for any support you can offer, whether it’s through a donation or by sharing Anastasia’s story. Thank you in advance for helping her get better and for being part of her journey to healing. Your kindness means the world to both of us.
