Help Anastasia fight against brain tumor

Donation protected
In mid-June 2023, Anastasia was diagnosed with a tumor in the brain region. Due to the unbearable pain and the partial loss of vision, the doctors at the Institute of Emergency Medicine in Chisinau insisted that she undergo emergency surgery.

On July 4, 2023, at the Institute of Emergency Medicine, she was operated on for the first time. According to the neurosurgeon, he managed to remove 80% of the size of the tumor, and another 20% was too close to the optic nerve and could not be removed without causing serious damage or even death, and was to be treated with radiotherapy in a few months after Anastasia will recover from surgery.

Once Anastasia obtained the sample with the tumor material preserved in a special device, her family members helped it to be transported to a specialised laboratory in Bucharest, in order to identify the type of tumor and what danger it presents. After the first and second tests the specialists concluded that the matter was not properly preserved and that the sample is compromised, so they cannot provide a proper expertise.

The doctors from Chisinau, who performed both operations, deny the fact that the mistake is theirs and accuse those from Romania of incompetence.

After almost a month from the first operation, on August 11, 2023, the doctors found that liquid is accumulating in the place where the tumor is located, and they urgently performed a second intervention where this time they installed a drainage shunt.

Anastasia, together with her youngest daughter, husband and mother-in-law, are today in Romania Cluj, where they arrived yesterday evening after visiting several specialists for a week in Bucharest.

For the first 2 operations, and other consultations and investigations, done in Moldova, Anastasia spent more than 10,000 euros, generously provided by a group of believers from the UK, plus all their own family savings.

Since, she lost her vision almost entirely, in the last few days, and she was only moving around led by Igor, her husband, the neurosurgeon decided to operate tomorrow morning (10/05/23) at 9:00 AM.

When Anastasia asked the surgeon how serious this surgery was, he said that the most serious and great risk, at the moment, would be not to intervene, and that he’s specialized specifically this kind of Brain tumors.

The estimated necessary amount for the intervention and the costs related to it, it is much more than Anastasia and Igor can afford.

The doctors have not assumed the responsibility to name the necessary amount, because it can vary a lot depending on factors that are difficult to predict.
But according to the prices displayed on the clinic's official website, for uninsured patients in Romania, the cost of hospital stay, of around 10 days, and surgery, would be around €10,000-€15,000.
These estimates do not include other possible costs for Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy that may be necessary later.

Your prayers will be appreciated by Anastasia and her entire family.

Her youngest daughter Kira is with her father in Cluj and with her mother-in-law, this being possible with God's help, and thanks to the generosity of several faithful brothers from Romania who offered to help with finding and renting an apartment.

And the other two daughters aged 12 and 14, who are high school students, stayed in Chisinau, together with Anastasia's mother, Tatiana.

Thank you for your generosity in advance.
Every little bit helps more than you will ever know.
