My name is Anastacia, and I’m a single parent doing my best to support myself and my four children. Over the past two months, I’ve been searching for work in home health, retail, or customer service, but so far I haven’t had any luck. As I continue to apply and wait for call backs, my financial situation has become more difficult.

Right now, I’m struggling to keep up with basic necessities. My air conditioning isn’t working, my water was recently cut off, and I’m behind on rent. I’m also running low on food, and I don’t receive food stamps. With my light bill coming up and back-to-school season here, I’m worried about providing for my children—two in high school and one in middle school. I plan to attend back-to-school events to help with supplies, but every little bit of support makes a difference.
