Hi, my name is Kera and I’m raising money for my sister in law Anastacia who has been in the hospital for a week today and still has more to go before being released to go home.

First let me tell you a little about Anastacia. She’s a single mom to two teen boys. She’s been the mom and dad for those boys most of their lives. She works hard to make ends meet. The boys are at an age where they help when not in school.

Anastacia started experiencing some pain under her arm pit. That pain escalated into a large pimple like mass that wouldn’t go away and wouldn’t stop hurting. Last week it got worse and started spreading to her neck. On Tuesday October 1st she couldn’t stand the pain anymore and went to the emergency room. That’s where they told her that it looks like a bacterial infection and she needs antibiotics. The infection was so far gone that they had to put her on an IV and kept her in the hospital. When the antibiotics didn’t help the doctors went in and did surgery to remove the infected area. A couple days later they did another surgery. They sent it off to get tested. Came back positive for a bacterial infection. Her arm pit is cut up and has tubes going out of it to drain excess puss. The doctors told her that they don’t known when she might be discharged from the hospital. She won’t be able to work for a good long while until everything is healed back up. She won’t be able to move her arm at all. She’s worried about her bills that are coming since she will have no income for awhile and since she’s been taking lots of time off due to this infection. She’s also worried about the medical bills that have been piling up.
