This is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do. In April, we received one of the most devastating calls anyone could ever receive. Our beautiful, beloved Ana had tragically passed away unexpectedly. Ana was an intelligent, bright-spirited young lady who made friends everywhere she went. She had a smile and laugh that was infectious and could light up a room. She loved music and arts and was just an all-around fun person to be around.

Although Ana always had a fun spirit and great attitude, her life was plagued with tragedy. In high school, her father took his own life, leaving her mother, her brother Matthew, and all other family members that cared and loved him absolutely devastated. As a result of this tragic death, it left a huge scar on her and her family. Her older brother, who was attending Southern Utah University at the time, suffered greatly from mental health issues as a result, which he has not been able to overcome. He is currently institutionalized and there is no timetable to know if he will ever be released.

This leaves her mother in a position where she has basically lost every immediate family member. She was extremely close with Ana, they were best friends. They talked daily and Ana was constantly back and forth from Tucson, Arizona to Oceanside, California to check on her mom and help her out in any way possible. She was concerned about her brother's well-being and was dealing with lawyers and always at the courthouse trying to get her brother released.

This devastating death has left her mother heartbroken, lost, alone, and absolutely crushed. There have been a lot of expenses that her mother has had to take on to deal with the death of her daughter. It is unlike us to ever ask for help in any way, let alone financially, but it’s with a humble heart that that’s where we’re at. We’d like to raise money to help her mother and family celebrate her amazing life on October 5th in Indio, California where she was born, and to help with some of the unforeseen expenses her mother has had to take on in dealing with her sudden and unexpected death.
