Help Anas and his family escape the war in Gaza
Don protégé
I am Anas Alhaddad, a third-year Information Technology student at the Islamic University of Gaza. I am one of the top students in my batch, but the current situation in Gaza poses a threat to both my education and, more importantly, my life. Since the onset of the war in Gaza, I have been deeply concerned about my ability to complete my university education. This war is unlike any other; it has largely destroyed my university, leaving me unable to continue my studies.
Moreover, the continuous bombings since October 7, 2023, have rendered Gaza unsafe. We have had to evacuate several times in search of a safer location, yet there appears to be no secure refuge within the Gaza Strip. Tragically, I lost my sister a year ago when she was denied the opportunity to seek treatment outside Gaza for her cancer. I cannot bear the thought of losing another family member.
Please assist me in completing my study outside Gaza and relocating my family away from this war zone. I would sincerely appreciate any donations; even small contributions will significantly alleviate our suffering. Kindly consider sharing my campaign widely with your network to expedite reaching my goal, as every passing moment in Gaza is perilous. I will be forever grateful for your compassionate assistance during this extremely challenging time.
Our only means of survival is to exit Gaza via the Rafah crossing point (the Gaza-Egypt border). To cross this border, we must have our names added to the crossing list, which requires a paid permit. The coordinators in Egypt, who have the authority to add our names to the list at the border, are currently demanding €6,000 per person! They will not add our names until we can provide proof that we have the necessary funds available. We are hoping to raise €35,000. Your generous contributions will go towards the following:
€24,000 for the Rafah Crossing permit (€6,000 x 4: my father (Mousa), mother (Abeer), sister (Rahaf) and I).
€5,000 will go towards shelter/house rental in Egypt, resettling, buying clothes, urgent healthcare, and other humanitarian needs for a few months .
€6,000 for my education.
Thank you once again for standing in solidarity with us and making a positive impact on the lives of those affected.
